LIFE CHAIN

We had the privilige of participating, along with several of our church families, in the Life Chain here in Marion on Sunday October 5th! This was so exciting for us as a family to do together, we took Sherah with us and I was just filled with emotion as I looked at her and some of the other children out there holding their sign and letting the world know what we believe in. What better way to get thier attention, than children holding the signs? I had tried to explain to Sherah the best that I could what we were doing and why, and with such childlike innocence after we were done and walking back to our cars she looked at me and said, "Mom, now people aren't going to kill thier babies, are they?" and I had to smile at her remark. If only it were that easy.

We Celebrated our 8th Anniversary just a couple weeks ago and my wonderful husband surprised me when he came in from work with Roses and a Coffee Mug!

He is so sweet and I am so thankful for a kind, thoughtful husband!

Derek Randall Adams

We are so excited to welcome the newest addition to our family! We had the privilege to be at the hospital when my little nephew Derek Randall Adams arrived in our world Friday, August 15th 2008 at 7.59AM

He weighed in at 6Ib 1 oz and was 19.5 inches long.


Congratulations to my Brother David and his wife Erica! He is a gorgeous little guy and we are so happy for his safe arrival. It was an exciting time! Mom and baby are doing great!

We left the hospital in the afternoon and traveled to Stoneboro, Pa to the Allegheny Camp to see Josh's sister Amy and her family. They are living in Sacramento, Ca and we don't get to see them much at all. We enjoyed our time together. Sherah loved it and wanted to go home with Amy, I don't think she understands how far away that would be. :-)

The girls and I are heading out today to spend a few days with my my brother and his wife and help out with the new baby, I am sure it will be lots of fun. I will post pics when I return.

Only One Life.......

I heard this song last evening in church and it has just been on my mind since.
I don't know, do you ever feel you get so caught up in just living life? Being a Mom, taking care of the house, caring for the children, trying to save money, or if you are the breadwinner, working so hard and so many hours to try to get the bills paid, just so busy that we sometimes forget the important things. I guess my mind has been going over this and I have been thinking about the fact that I only get one chance to make a difference! One chance to raise my little girls the right way so that they will live thier lives for Christ! One chance to be all that I should be and live so that others can see Jesus in me! It just makes some of these other "things" seem not so important. We don't have a promise of tomorrow! We may only have today!
I want to give to Jesus, all my days, hours and minutes, to live my best for Him and not forget I only have "ONE LIFE"

Trip to the Marion County Fair

A couple of weeks ago, my girls and I went with some of our Friends from church to our small town fair here in Marion. Sherah had a fantastic time getting to do the rides and be with the other children. Here are a few of the pictures of the fun time everyone seem to be having.

Updates!

I told you that I would be horrible at keeping up with this. I am just going to try to catch up here a little bit from the last couple months. Starting with Memorial Day Weekend. We started it out trying to get our flowers planted in our flower boxes and front flower beds. We just moved to this place in February and the flower beds need lots of work!!!

I am trying to remember all the interesting things that has happened since my last post, I have been getting "comments" from some of my very good friends about my blog not being updated regularly. Sorry, just seems like time gets by me and I don't get it done. Life has been very busy, this summer just seems to be flying by so swiftly. We went back to Somerset, Ohio (where we recently moved from) the middle of June and stayed a week with Josh's parents. Sherah went to VBS with my sisters girls. She really enjoyed being there and spending time with the girls.

Also, I know Father's Day has been a couple weeks ago, but I wanted to recognize the men in my life that are wonderful Fathers, of course my mind goes to my own Daddy. Looking back on my life, I am so thankful for the Father I have been given. I never remember a time when my Dad didn't live what he preached. At home or on vacation he was the same. He taught me to stand for what I believe no matter what the rest of the world may be doing. He taught me to always be honest and he taught me to Love God above all else. I have watched him face very dark days, but never once lost his faith in the Amazing God that we serve, Daddy, I Love You! Your the Best!

I also have a wonderful father-in-law. We had the privilege of being with him also. I believe that my husband is the father and husband he is to us, because of the example of his own father. Mike you are the greatest and I thank the Lord for allowing me to have you for my Second "Dad"

Last, but certainly not least is my Husband. Where do I begin? Honey, thanks for ALL you do for us. You are such a great Daddy and Husband. We love you and we are so thankful to have you just for us!

Well, that is all I have time for right now. I will try to post some pictures of our time at the fair last week. We had a great time!

Mother's Day!

This is a bittersweet day for me, I love to remember the wonderful Mother that I had. She was such a sweet spirited person. I miss her more than I could ever express, so that makes Mother's Day somewhat sad as I think of all the things that I wish I could share with her, my life, my precious little girls, the joys and sorrows of everyday life, my personal struggles and burdens, my accomplishments, to be able to ask her advice or get a recipe!


I miss you Mom, but I thank the Lord for allowing me to have you for my Mommy! You Live in my heart and my memory! I hope to someday be just like you! .



I also delight in being a Mother and sharing this day with my two beautiful little girls! They are so precious. My prayer is to be the Best Mommy that I can be. It is such an awesome privilige, yet overwhelming to think that you have these little lives to mold and teach and you only get one chance. A little scary huh?


Sherah was so sweet giving me my gifts. She is such a sweet child at times and then there are other times...... :-) I know that with all the crazy days and at times when it feels like you just want to pull your hair out or scream, I wouldn't trade being a mother for anything in the world! It is a gift and I am thankful for these little people that have been entrusted to me.





We spent Mother's day with my lovely Stepmother, Debbie. We had a great time being with her. She has been a part of our lives for many years now and never hesitates to let us come in and take over the place. Thanks Debbie for your patience, love and acceptance. Love you lots!

Shaylah's First Birthday Party

Last Saturday we celebrated Shaylah's First birthday. We had a great time, all of my brothers and sisters were here along with my Dad and Stepmother. Josh's parent's were here also. It was so fun to watch her tear into her cake, she loved it! I hope you enjoy the pictures that I posted.

Time goes by so fast and it is hard for me to believe that she is a year old already.
